Standards 

1. Child Labour

1.1 There should not have child labour found in workplace (PRC min. 16 years)  

1.2 There should have written  remediation , program Remediation programme for child labour issue

1.3 There should have documented personnel record of all the worker age information

1.4 There should have no labour who currently of legal age but hired below minimum age? 

2. Forced Labour

2.1 No forced, bonded / involuntary labour

2.2 No deposits of money or ID on commencement of employment

2.3 Should not keep currency or ID as a pledge for workers to get their toolings, uniform or residency permit

2.4 Free to leave after reasonable notice

2.5 Production site should not be locked

2.6 Workers are free to leave the factory site after work

2.7 Work overtime should be voluntary

3. Young Labour


3.1 Age between 16-18

3.2 Should not be employed at night or in hazardous conditions

3.3 Require regular body check in yearly basis

3.4 Factory should keep the annual body check record for all young labour

4. Living Wages

4.1 Should meet at least local minimum standards;Please record the local minimum wages

4.2 Does legislated minimum wage rates post to workers?  

4.3 Deductions from wages are not made for disciplinary purpose

4.4 Each employees should has a labour contract cover the followings terms and conditions

· Contract period

· Content of job

· Working hours

· Wages

· Factory rules

· Contract termination rules/conditions

4.5 Workers employed in probation or training period shall be given with at least minimum wages

4.6 Workers should join with the social insurance scheme

4.7 There should have the paid record for workers joining with Social Insurance Scheme 

4.8 Overtime Premium

· 150% for normal work day

· 200% for rest day

· 300% for statutory holiday 

4.9 Piece-rate workers should have entitled overtime premium

4.10 Are employee wages pay with pay slip which list out the details of how to figure out the final wage on each month? 

4.11 There should have no detention of employee monthly wages. 

4.12 Please specify the mean to pay the employee wages 

5 Working Hours/holidays

5.1 Overtime hours should comply with local law or industry standard

l should not exceed 3 hours per day

l Employee should have at least one rest day per week

5.2 Employee should entitle with statutory holidays and paid annual leave according to local country

· Employees being employed over 1 year and less than 10 years should be entitled with 5 days annual leave

· Employees being employed over 10 years and less than 20 years should be entitled with 10 days annual leave

· Employees being employed over 20 years should be entitled with 15 days annual leave

5.3 Employees who take sick leave with doctor certificate should be granted for paid leave

5.4 Maternity leave 90 days should be granted for female employee

5.5 Maximum overtime (hrs) per week

6 Discipline

6.1 Not engage in or support the use of corporal punishment 

6.2 No deduction to wage

6.3 Mental or physical coercion and verbal abuse

7 Discrimination

7.1 No discrimination in hiring wages, training promotion, termination based on race, castle, nationality, age, religion, disability, gender sexual orientation, union or political member

7.2 Is there written policy against discrimination?  

8. Working Environment (Workplace, dormitory, canteen) 

8.1 Does the supplier have a written policy to monitor the working conditions in respect to health, safety and environment protection? 

8.2 Factory premises must be firm safe

8.3 Workplace should has good ventilation and lighting

8.4 Hazardous pars like gear, flywheel, press m/c, abrasive wheel, etc., shall be equipped with protective cover

8.5 Hazardous chemicals/goods shall be stored at isolated/bonded area

8.6 Electrical equipment and circuit must be insulated properly

No exposed electrical wire or conductor

8.7 Potable water should be checked and approved by authority

8.8 Should ensure adequate clean water for living 

8.9 Waste materials and waster water shall be handled properly and shall not endanger workers and nearby residents

8.10 Appropriate face masks, goggles and gas masks shall be provided to workers who expose to hazardous gas, steam or airborne particles in workplac

8.11 Appropriate ear plugs, goggles and helmets shall be provided by workers who expose to excessive noise, bright light, sparks and debris in workplace

8.12 Washrooms shall be located nearby the workplace and shall be segregated by sex 

8.13 Should provide enough number of washroom and toilets to workers

8.14 Dormitor

· Adequate lightin

· Enough space for workers

· Clean and tidy

· Emergency lighting

· Emergency exit not being blocked

8.15 Canteen 

· Canteen personnel should have health certificate and check regularly

· Should have hygienic permit

· The place should be clean and hygienic

8.16 Are there trained first aiders available in workplace?

8.17 Are adequate medicines put in first aid box?

8.18 Have machines operators been trained adequately prior to normal work?  

8.19 Is there a maintenance policy with documented records?

9. Fire Safety / Evacuation Procedure

9.1 Fire extinguisher should be put on

· Appropriate location

· Adequate height

· Not expire

9.2 Should have emergency light

9.3 Exit gate not being blocked

9.4 Exit door not being locked

9.5 Fire safety equipment should be regularly check

9.6 Is there a regular fire drill procedure?

9.7 Is there an alarm system installed in site or dormitory?

10. Freedom of Association

10.1 Any union form
